Tracee is an AI-driven agtech application for tracking trees, crops, and other plants within orchards and plantings. It approaches the problem from the perspective of a field user gathering data who later becomes and analyst at their desk. Instead of balancing their laptops precariously and hoping for the best, Tracee users simply geo-tag their tree of interest, take pictures, dictate notes, and sync with the cloud to analyze the data later.
FEATURES
- AI dictation - Users take notes by speaking directly with their mobile devices and native, on-board transcription libraries transform their speech to text.
- GIS-driven - Everything in Tracee is driven from a geographic information systems (GIS) perspective, meaning that users create reusable maps as they identify, track, phenotype, and share their targets. Users take notes by speaking directly with their mobile devices and native, on-board transcription libraries transform their speech to text.
- Modern interaction - Tracee acts like users expect with pinch-to-zoom, touch-selection, multi-touch, etc.
- Cross-platform - Tracee runs on Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, iOS, and on the web.
- Good data - Region and plat boundaries, terrain, roads, and other important types of geographic information are available in Tracee.
- Multiple object types - Users can create any object type on their maps and add custom polygons too.
STATUS AND ROADMAP
Tracee is currently a late-stage prototype with an expected beta release data in late 2025 and a first full release in Q1 2026. The beta will include a full feature set for field work just in time for the 2026 planting season, and the public release will add cloud features to support early enterprise customers. The field tool will be available for free for all users in various app stores and from our website. Support contracts for enterprise features will be available through our sales team. Tracee’s full source code, including field and enterprise features, are released open source under the New BSD License and available at our GitLab site.
